About...

WHAT'S DIFFERENT?

Working with us means that you get a truly people-centred rather than a purely procedural approach to HR and to business.  That’s why we’re a people business for business people: as HR consultants we work with all members of your team, understanding them and their motivations as well as you and your plans for your business.

A FOCUS ON PEOPLE AND OPPORTUNITIES

Many HR consultants focus on the problems of employing people – we don’t.  We want you to see and realise the opportunities in your business and how to develop the talents of your staff.

We work with you to get things right, heading off issues by planning carefully and getting people onside with you.

A FLEXIBLE WAY OF WORKING

You’ll find us flexible, able to work with you to provide HR support on whatever basis you require - from project to longer-term HR outsourcing.

EXPERIENCED AND WITH VISION

Alison Melville is at the heart of Greig Melville.  An experienced HR professional, Alison worked her way up to senior level in the construction and facilities management sector.  She was responsible for over 1,000 staff in her last role as Head of Group HR and set up Greig Melville HR in 2010.

ACROSS ALL SECTORS

The firm works with clients across the UK that include businesses as diverse as children’s nurseries, accountancy firms, manufacturing companies and Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce.

Alison Melville

Alison Melville: "I started out thirty years ago as a bank clerk and I've worked my way up through the ranks ever since. I'm happy dealing with people on the shop floor or in the boardroom because I've been there myself. To do this job successfully I need to be able to see perspectives from every staff level."

Craighalbert Centre

We are proud to be supporting the Craighalbert Centre for the next 2 years as our 'adopted' charity.
